Fall is in the air, AKA that magical time of year when nature paints across the landscape with red, orange, yellow colors 🍁🍁🍁. Everywhere you go, it’s like the Earth is putting on a show and illuminating your surroundings.
Do you own a camera? Do you love the fall? Then let’s go out and explore the colorful world around .
Why leaves change Color ?
Believe it or not, the trees don’t change their colors just so we will have something pretty to look at 😀
There is actually a reason for the many colors of fall. In addition to the green pigments of chlorophyll, a plant’s leaves also have yellow and orange pigments in them all the time. Yellow and orange colors are due to pigments called carotenoids, which are also responsible for the color in carrots and in corn.
But most of the year these other, warmer, colors are masked by the great amounts of chlorophyll in the plant. When temperatures begin to drop and chlorophyll production begins to decline, those other colors are revealed.
Let’s celebrate falls
Let me ask you a question first. How many shades of red, orange, brown and yellow can you come up with? Russet, scarlet, blood red, brick red, flame orange, lemon yellow, maize, mustard, chestnut, rust, brick, crimson. Yes, exactly. We are going to witness all of them during the falls 🙂
Here are some of the Trees I saw during my stroll across the Sheak Road. Surf through this gallery and I am sure you will love them all. However, these are just the pictures, you ought to be in the vicinity to feel the real beauty.
